Job Description

Position Overview:

The Woodfield Youth Development Specialist is responsible for providing direct supervision, engagement, and mentoring to juveniles within Woodfield Secure Detention Facility. They are expected to monitor movements and interactions of juveniles and uphold security procedures to ensure a safe and therapeutic culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct supervision and engagement to juveniles
  • Monitor movements and interactions of juveniles
  • Uphold security procedures to ensure a safe and therapeutic culture

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or High School Diploma/GED equivalency
  • Minimum of two years' experience working with youth
  • Detention or Security Experience Preferred
  • Good written and verbal skills
  • Ability to put into practice Safe Crisis Management techniques
  • Ability to demonstrate counseling techniques
