Job Description

The Recreation Therapist will design and implement engaging youth programs that promote physical fitness, arts, and crafts, dance, meditation, and teamwork. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children and youth in a therapeutic setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement youth programs that address therapeutic goals and build on individual strengths
  • Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to provide feedback and support on youth functioning
  • Provide a nurturing and therapeutic environment for children and youth

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED equivalency
  • At least two years of experience in facilitating youth service programs or recreational programs in detention, corrections, or juvenile justice
  • Excellent written, verbal, and computer skills
