Position Overview:
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) plays a crucial role in delivering healthcare services to patients in a correctional facility under the guidance of the Site Administrator/Coordinator. The LPN is responsible for providing nursing care as directed by the Physician, adhering to the regulations set forth by the State Board of Nursing.

Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to and manage emergency situations effectively.
- Conduct patient intake assessments and documentation.
- Verify and process medication orders for patients.
- Facilitate Sick Call clinics for patient care.
- Order and maintain medication supplies from the pharmacy.
- Administer medications in accordance with nursing standards and correctional protocols.
- Document and complete treatments, patient care, and lab collections as ordered.
- Assist healthcare providers during Chronic Care Clinics and sick call visits.
- Monitor, report, and document any changes in patients' conditions.
- Ensure accurate documentation of all patient information and nursing interventions.
- Complete daily nursing tasks within the designated timeframes.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
- Support the training and orientation of new staff members.
- Adhere to QCHC policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Perform additional job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Completion of an Accredited Vocational/Technical School
Current and valid LPN or LVN license
Current CPR certification
Minimum of one year of clinical experience as an LPN in a healthcare setting.
Preferred: One year of experience in a correctional healthcare environment.
