In this role, you will engage in a dynamic, patient-focused environment, delivering exceptional care to a varied patient demographic.
The Nutrition Specialist will work alongside interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, to create and execute tailored nutrition strategies for patients.
This is a full-time, permanent position that includes a comprehensive benefits package. Enjoy 3 weeks of vacation, 8 PTO days, and 9 paid holidays.
About the Hospital:
Jefferson Abington Hospital serves as the flagship facility of Jefferson Health–Abington, situated in Abington Township, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, in the northern suburbs of Philadelphia.
With over a century of service, Abington is a 665-bed regional referral center and teaching hospital.
Key Responsibilities:- Evaluate patients' nutritional needs and formulate personalized nutrition strategies based on their medical history and current health status.
- Provide education and guidance to patients and their families regarding proper nutrition, healthy eating practices, and lifestyle modifications.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to establish and implement clinical protocols and best practices for nutrition care.
- Monitor patients' progress and adjust their nutrition strategies as necessary.
- Stay informed about the latest research and advancements in clinical nutrition.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in nutrition or a related field.
- Registered Dietitian (RD) certification.
- Licensed Dietitian status in Pennsylvania.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Commitment to enhancing patient outcomes through high-quality nutrition care.
