Job Overview

The Department of Political Science at the University of California, Irvine is seeking applicants for temporary part-time lecturer positions to teach in different subfields of American Politics, Political Theory, International Relations, Comparative Politics, and Law. These positions will replace faculty on leave during the academic year.

Responsibilities

We are seeking candidates with strong teaching credentials who can contribute to our undergraduate program. A Ph.D. in Political Science or a relevant field is required. Minimum two years of teaching experience is also required.

This statement should: Indicate the candidate's teaching experiences to date, including experience with teaching undergraduates/graduate students, or other populations, as well as their areas of interest. This should also include mentorship that they have given to others in the line of research or outreach activities. Detail the candidate's teaching approaches and philosophies, as to how they will engage in effective teaching strategies.
