Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

The Medical Assistant will undertake a variety of clinical and administrative duties, including but not limited to:

  • Recording vital signs and medical histories.
  • Preparing patients for examinations and procedures.
  • Assisting with blood draws and medication administration.
  • Managing phone inquiries and patient registrations.
  • Scheduling appointments and processing payments.
Qualifications

Essential Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare operations.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
  • Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate Degree in a healthcare-related field.
  • One year of experience as a Medical Assistant.
  • Experience with electronic health record (EHR) documentation.
  • Phlebotomy certification.
Certifications

Applicants should possess the following certifications:

  • Medical Assistant Certification from an accredited institution.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association.
