Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Underwriter to join our team. As a Senior Underwriter, you will be responsible for reviewing underwriting files, supporting the establishment of a portfolio-level approach to underwriting, and utilizing your expertise to create a preeminent experience for our customers and agent partners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review applications and policies to ensure accurate pricing and compliance with bureau rules and state statutes.
  • Utilize data analytics and pricing tools to appropriately price workers' compensation policies and identify actionable insights for customers.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices.
  • Regularly assess and maintain a balanced spread of risk across the portfolio.
  • Promote diversification of risk and proper mix of business types.
  • Ensure adequate classification using background knowledge and 3rd party solutions.
What You'll Do

As a Senior Underwriter, you will be responsible for:

  • Leveraging sales techniques to build long-term relationships with our partners at Attune, customers, and agents.
  • Educating and guiding customers and agents on workers' compensation insurance.
  • Partnering with agents/account managers to identify and implement growth opportunities.
  • Proactively identifying opportunities to streamline underwriting processes and enhance efficiency.
  • Leveraging new technology solutions and 3rd party vendors to automate the Underwriting Review and Q/A process.
Requirements
  • Two or more years of experience working directly with customers and agents.
  • Five or more years of underwriting experience in Workers Compensation.
  • CPCU designation or other industry coursework preferred.
  • Bilingual is a plus.

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $99,400 - $107,800, 20 paid days off, 9 paid holidays, 401k matching, and a performance-based incentive plan.
