About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team at Mount Sinai Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and contributing to the development of evidence-based practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Care Planning: Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and emotional needs, develop and implement individualized care plans, and evaluate patient outcomes.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work effectively with healthcare teams, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure seamless patient care and coordination.
  • Education and Training: Provide education and training to patients, families, and healthcare teams on various aspects of patient care, including disease management, medication administration, and wound care.
  • Leadership and Professional Development: Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contribute to the development of policies and procedures, and engage in ongoing professional development to enhance clinical expertise and leadership skills.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in emergency nursing, with a focus on critical care and trauma.
  • Certifications: Current RN licensure in New York State, BCLS/ACLS/PALS certification, and EKG skills.
  • Skills: Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
