Cardiology Medical Director

VCU Health's Pauley Heart Center seeks a visionary Cardiology Medical Director to spearhead their cardiac team and drive excellence in patient care. As a leader in cardiology, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on your local community while leveraging the resources of a renowned academic health system.
The successful candidate will join a team dedicated to academic discovery and outstanding clinical care for patients. You will be responsible for enhancing a premier cardiology patient care service line, providing seamless continuity of care, and leading the development of advanced services, including imaging, electrophysiology, and subspecialty patient populations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading outpatient, inpatient, and consultative clinical services
- Collaborating across hospital departments, including primary care, hospitalists, ED, and imaging
- Setting and implementing standards of practice related to cardiac care
- Coordinating provider scheduling for clinic and hospital coverage
- Serving as liaison to VCU Health's Cardiology service line and contributing to health system goals
- Call by phone only
