Omm IT Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Tableau Server Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our Business Intelligence team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and security of our Tableau Server infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities- Performance Optimization: Monitor and analyze the performance of reports and dashboards, and take corrective action to optimize and improve dashboard performance as necessary.
- Technical Support: Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users, analysts, and stakeholders to ensure best practices are being used and issues are resolved promptly.
- Server Administration: Run cleanup and create Tableau Server backups, enforce Tableau Server Security Policies, and partner with the infrastructure team to troubleshoot and resolve network/windows Server related issues.
- Training and Development: Collaborate with the Business Intelligence team to design and deliver training sessions and workshops to end-users and stakeholders on best practices and features of Tableau.
- Project Management: Serve as a backup Server Administrator to install and deploy new versions of Tableau software across all lifecycle environments, and create/modify/manage Tableau Server Task Schedules.
- Technical Skills: 8+ years of demonstrated design and development skills using Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server, and 3+ years of demonstrated installation, configuration, and administrative support of Tableau or above.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering, or a related field.
- Soft Skills: Excellent presentation skills, experience with Tableau best practices and features, excellent customer service, and strong written and oral communication skills.
- Advanced Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with Tableau Server configuration and maintenance of project, group security, and permissions, and experience building complex reports, dashboards, scorecards, and visualizations using Tableau.
- Business Acumen: Thorough understanding of data warehouse techniques (dimensional models and aggregation techniques), and experience in conducting training sessions or facilitating business presentations such as user groups.
