Middle School Band Director

The Mobile County Public School System is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Middle School Band Director to join our team. As a key member of our music department, you will be responsible for leading and directing our middle school band program, developing and implementing curriculum, and fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement curriculum for middle school band program
- Direct and conduct middle school band performances
- Recruit and manage student musicians
- Collaborate with other music teachers and department staff
- Assess and evaluate student progress and program effectiveness
- Communicate with parents, students, and community members
- Manage program budget and resources
Must have a current valid Alabama Teaching Certification in Instrumental Music. Proven experience in teaching and directing middle school band programs is highly desirable.
