Job Overview

NMC Health's Information Technology department is responsible for delivering high-quality IT services to support the hospital's institutions. As a key member of the IT Engineering team, the Systems Engineer plays a crucial role in managing and coordinating IT applications, systems, and networks.

Key Responsibilities

The Systems Engineer will be responsible for:

  • Managing Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) and network printers/print servers
  • Coordinating efforts between users of IT applications, systems, and networks
  • Ensuring proper computer operation and managing/monitoring system performance
  • Optimizing end-user computing experiences and ensuring system security
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems or Computer Science
  • Three to five years of active and progressive management experience in network and system settings

Preferred Qualifications

The following qualifications are highly preferred:

  • Advanced troubleshooting and administration knowledge of PCs/Laptops/Thin Clients
  • Knowledge of Virtual Desktop Infrastructure, preferably VMware Horizon View
  • Knowledge of Server virtualization technology, preferably VMware
  • Knowledge of Advanced AV/Malware Systems, preferably Cisco AMP/Umbrella
  • Familiarity with networking concepts, protocols, and security principles
