The Role:

We are seeking a Senior Software and Data Engineer to lead and expand our software, data, and IT capabilities. This is a high-impact position with significant growth potential and compensation upside, offering the chance to shape the technical infrastructure of a growing quantitative hedge fund. The ideal candidate is hands-on, adaptable, and excited to take ownership of critical systems and processes.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect and Develop: Build and maintain robust data pipelines to power our trading algorithms, with the goal of establishing a ‘Data As A Service’ capability within the firm.
  • Collaborate: Work closely with data scientists to identify and integrate new data sources, supporting analytics and feature engineering for machine learning.
  • Enhance Infrastructure: Maintain and improve existing trading and performance tracking systems.
  • Team Leadership: Recruit, build, and lead a team of software, IT, and data engineers as the company scales.
  • Innovation: Stay at the forefront of emerging technologies and techniques to continuously enhance operational efficiency.


What We’re Looking For:

  • Academic Excellence: Bachelor's or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field from a top-tier university.
  • Experience: At least 5 years of experience in software development and data engineering, preferably within a trading environment.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Linux and Python; Experience in Pandas and SQL; Strong background in financial data, including securities reference/identifiers and pricing data; Experience building and managing automated trading systems; Familiarity with Cloud Computing, Big Data technologies, and Distributed/Parallel Processing; Experience with orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow) and unstructured databases is a plus; Knowledge of Java and C/C++ is an advantage.
