NMC Healths Information Technology (IT) department is responsible for ongoing support and maintenance of the infrastructure and applications which support the hospitals institutions, along with implementation of new services and applications that are used to support and further the mission of patient care.

The Systems Engineer (SE) is a member of the NMCH IT Engineering team and is responsible for managing and coordinating the efforts between users of IT applications, systems, and networks.

The SEs key functional areas are Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI), network printers/print servers, cyber security systems, data communications and telecommunications/VoIP systems.

The SE accomplishes these goals/objectives by collaborating, planning, organizing, ensuring proper computer operation and managing/monitoring the performance of systems.

This position reports to the Network Architect.

Key Responsibilities:

* Collaborate with users to understand their IT needs and develop solutions to meet those needs

* Plan, organize, and manage the implementation of new IT systems and applications

* Ensure the security and integrity of IT systems and data

* Monitor and troubleshoot IT systems and applications to ensure optimal performance

* Develop and implement policies and procedures for IT systems and applications

* Stay up-to-date with the latest IT trends and technologies and make recommendations for implementation
