About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at the Spokane Regional Health District. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Obtain vital signs, height, and weight, as well as history of present illness and past medical history from patients prior to their appointment with a provider.
  • Retrieve lab results and provide them to the Nurse Case Manager or ordering provider.
  • Use the Prescription Monitoring Program (PMP) system to retrieve prescription records for new patients and annual patient exams, and provide the information to the provider for review.
  • Perform EKGs for new clients, annual exams, and at the discretion of the ARNPs, medical director, or medical manager.
  • Perform venipuncture for routine lab draws on all new clients.
  • Manage patient record requests received from providers, ensuring proper Release of Information procedures are followed when communicating with outside facilities.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Current Washington State Medical Assistant Registered or Certified License.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Two years of experience working in a primary medical clinic or with substance abuse individuals.
