Memory Care Coordinator

TerraBella Senior Living is a leading provider of senior living and care services, operating over 30 communities across the Carolinas, Virginia, Kentucky, Georgia, and Tennessee.
We are seeking a highly skilled Memory Care Coordinator to join our team at TerraBella Southern Pines. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents and their families.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement a comprehensive Memory Care program, incorporating life skills and dementia-appropriate activities.
- Collaborate with the Memory Care Director to ensure a variety of activities are available throughout the day and evening, and that Care Managers are actively involved and engaged.
- Provide ongoing in-service education to Memory Care staff on disease processes and population being served.
- Review resident preferences and needs, educating Care Managers on same.
- Facilitate Service Plan and Daily Assignment Sheet development to ensure excellence in service delivery, safety, hydration, and resident engagement.
- Establish a cooperative relationship with the local Alzheimer's Association chapter or other Alzheimer's advisory organization.
- Develop specific programming and approach mechanisms tailored to meet the needs of residents with Alzheimer's Disease or related Dementia.
- Create a therapeutic environment focusing on first impressions and resident engagement.
- Strive for excellent quality care and service delivery, and develop and implement plans of action to correct identified deficiencies and other regulatory compliance.
- One year of dementia care experience.
- One year in a leadership role.
