Insurance Benefits Manager Role for Employee Health Plans

We are seeking an experienced Insurance Benefits Manager to oversee the management of employee health plans. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in insurance benefits, excellent communication skills, and the ability to negotiate rates and benefits with carriers.

Key Responsibilities- Manage assigned blocks of employee benefits business in the branch.
- Prepare pre-renewal, renewal, and marketing reports.
- Compare health plan benefits and costs.
- Calculate employee contributions and develop contribution strategies to meet client budget requirements.
- Author correspondence, communication materials, and compliance notices as required.
- Negotiate rates and benefits with carriers.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of employee benefits/health plan implementation and administration.
- Knowledge of regulatory issues such as ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, and state/federal regulations specific to health insurance.
- Life and Health Insurance license required.
- High School Graduate / College Degree Preferred.
- Two or more years working in group health insurance or benefit brokerage/consulting.
The successful candidate will enjoy a competitive salary and benefits package. Salary: $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
