At New Level Resources, we are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Accountant to join our team. As a key member of our financial operations department, you will play a vital role in processing multi-state payroll, maintaining and optimizing our payroll system, monitoring timeclock entries and data, and managing garnishments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Payroll Processing: Process payroll transactions accurately and in a timely manner, verifying timekeeping records and resolving discrepancies.
  • Calculation and Verification: Calculate wages, deductions, wage garnishments, and overtime, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax requirements.
  • Payroll System Management: Maintain and optimize our payroll system, including the preparation of payroll checks and direct deposits.
  • Audit and Reconciliation: Conduct audits on time records and other payroll changes to ensure accuracy, including a full payroll reconciliation after each payroll run.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with HR regarding new hires, terminations, and benefit deductions, providing excellent communication skills and conveying information clearly to various individuals.
Requirements:
  • Education: High school diploma or GED required; an undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience: Two (2) or more years of proven experience in a payroll accountant or similar role, with expertise in payroll systems and Paylocity experience being a plus.
  • Skills: Strong attention to detail, analytical approach, problem-solving skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and ability to maintain confidential information.
