Key Responsibilities- Register patients with exceptional customer service and effective communication skills.
- Review scheduled outpatient visits to ensure patients have been screened for discounts and payment arrangements.
- Assist patients with financial assistance forms, HCAP applications, and Medicaid applications.
- Review patient accounts for quality and accuracy, and update all aspects of a patient account.
- Demonstrate knowledge of compliance and legally required registration forms, consents, literature, and documents.
- Previous registration or scheduling experience is strongly preferred.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Meets Pre-Screening Protocol and testing for proficiencies in computer skills, phone skills, and customer service knowledge.
- Demonstrated competency in working in teams and ability to effectively communicate with all levels.
- Ability to learn site-specific patient processing software.
- Computer literate and strong with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to function in a high-paced, often stressful environment while maintaining a respectful, caring, and professional manner.
- Flexible schedule to fit staffing needs.
- High school diploma required.
- One or more years of medical office or customer service experience required.
