Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Access Representative Senior to join our team at CHRISTUS Health. As a key member of our revenue cycle team, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless financial interactions with patients, insurance companies, and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Submit insurance claims electronically and on paper, following up on unpaid claims to resolution.
  • Evaluate and process accounts for adjustments, charity, outside assistance, or bad debt, analyzing accounts to ensure full reimbursement and satisfying patient and/or insurance company inquiries.
  • Collect balances due from patients using phone calls, personal contact, statements, letters, or third-party services.
  • Receive, process, and respond to correspondence or phone inquiries from patients, guarantors, insurance companies, attorneys, and other stakeholders.
  • Compile data, track results, and report to management, providing insights to inform business decisions.
  • May be assigned specialty responsibilities in areas such as refunds, reconciliation, balancing, and/or posting, as well as data collection and analysis.
  • Handle difficult patient account management issues referred by other staff.
  • Assist managers with various duties, including review of write-offs, adjustments, refunds, and discounts, coordinating work group activities, and training of other staff.
