Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Systems Technician to join our team at AmerisourceBergen Drug Corporation. As a key member of our Distribution Center operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective use and functionality of automated equipment, diagnosing and repairing electrical and mechanical issues, and testing equipment and instrumentation systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Electrical Systems Maintenance: Perform routine preventative maintenance tasks to ensure continued productivity with warehouse operations, including reading electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and PLC ladder and block logic.
  • Equipment Repair: Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical issues, including testing, replacement, or repair of electrical systems, AC or DC motors, power supplies, frequency drives, servo drives, transformers, motor starters, proximity sensors, encoders, photo eyes, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), HMI's, PLC Inputs/Outputs.
  • Equipment Testing: Test equipment and instrumentation systems, including electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, refrigeration, and water treatment chemicals.
  • PLC Programming: Load programs or configure PLC's, HMI, scanners, and other equipment.
  • Inventory Management: Manage the inventory of spare parts and maintain the CMMS/EAM system on repairs required and performed on equipment in the Distribution Center.
Requirements
  • Education: Requires some technical vocational training, or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Experience: Normally requires one (1) to two (2) years related and progressively responsible experience; strong electrical background preferred.
  • Skills and Knowledge: Strong technical and operational knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic equipment and systems, ability to read and interpret CAD layouts, illustrated parts breakdown (IPB) diagrams, and electrical circuitry diagrams and drawings.
