About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Controls Technician I to join our team at AmerisourceBergen Pharmaceutical Distribution and Strategic Glob. As a Controls Technician I, you will be responsible for supporting the effective use and functionality of automated equipment within our fully automated Distribution Center.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical issues, including testing, replacement, or repair of electrical systems, AC or DC motors, power supplies, frequency drives, servo drives, transformers, motor starters, proximity sensors, encoders, photo eyes, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), HMI's, PLC Inputs/Outputs.
  • Read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and PLC ladder and block logic, and load programs or configure PLC's, HMI, scanners.
  • Test equipment and instrumentation system, including electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, refrigeration, and water treatment chemicals.
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance tasks to ensure continued productivity with warehouse operations.
  • Manage the inventory of spare parts.
Requirements
  • Strong technical and operational knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic equipment and systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret CAD layouts, illustrated parts breakdown (IPB) diagrams, and electrical circuitry diagrams and drawings.
  • Ability to diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical issues.
  • Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) preferred.
  • Working knowledge of computer systems and personal computers.
  • Computer software experience, including MS office (Excel, Word, IM), MHE software such as RSLogix, Sort Director, GSMi, IPoint, Flex Sort, etc.
