This role focuses on the investigation of regulatory mechanisms in various health conditions, including non-small cell lung cancer, stress responses, lipid metabolism, diabetes, and infectious diseases.
Key Responsibilities:- Acquire proficiency in biochemical, statistical, and molecular methodologies to address scientific inquiries in the laboratory.
- Gain in-depth knowledge in lipid biology and RNA splicing processes.
- Innovate and implement new applications and workflows to test scientific hypotheses and questions.
- Assist with routine laboratory tasks and responsibilities as needed.
- Prepare, compose, and refine manuscripts based on research outcomes.
- Collaborate with laboratory personnel to share research results and support team members.
- Contribute to grant proposals and assist in writing fellowship applications upon request.
- Work alongside Dr. Chalfant to establish a unique research focus for future projects.
- Engage in both fundamental and translational research within designated projects.
