Job Title: Quality Inspector

We are seeking an experienced Quality Inspector to join our team at voestalpine Roll Forming Corporation. As a Quality Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our products and processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform NDT inspections to test and accept laser welded titanium products, components, and assemblies.
  • Conduct visual inspections to identify material failure and ensure compliance with customer specifications.
  • Assist in auditing NDT processes to ensure compliance with AS9100 and NADCAP.
  • Perform duties as a Level II to comply with NAS 410, SOP-QA-024, and customer specification requirements.
  • Maintain current visual acuity examinations and understand and follow appropriate SOPs and W.I.s.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent and two years' NDT technical school or equivalent military training or two years' NDT Level II experience in each method used: PT (liquid penetrant), UT (ultrasonic), and RF (radiography) as set forth in NAS-410 and RFC SOP-QA-024.
  • Ability to move and lift long parts up to 55 lbs in weight regularly.
  • Ability to pass specific vision test annually: near vision – Jaeger J2 at not less than 16 inches or equivalent and distance vision of 20/30.
  • Ability to obtain or maintain CWI (Certified Weld Inspector) certificate with AWS.
  • Ability to learn and use computer software such as Microsoft Office, our manufacturing ERP Global Shop Solutions, and others as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Current CWI or Certified Associate Weld Inspector.
  • Two or more years' experience in manufacturing environment in a technical related position focusing on quality.
  • Experience with FMEAs, Root Cause Analysis, AQP (Advance Quality Planning), SPC, GD&T, Gages, Measuring Instruments, and Blue Print Reading.
