About This Role

As a Customer Specialist at CarMax, you will play a key role in delivering an exceptional customer experience by providing guidance and support throughout the car-buying process. You will work closely with our team to ensure every customer has a positive experience, from sale to appraisal and beyond.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service by guiding customers through every step of the car-buying process.
  • Conduct vehicle condition assessments to ensure accurate appraisals.
  • Check in and receive vehicles, complete daily scanning and reconciliation of vehicle inventory.
  • Perform cosmetic inspections to ensure vehicles meet CarMax Quality Standards.
  • Manage administrative duties, including printing daily reports, maintaining transaction paperwork, and contacting finance companies.
  • Create service appointments and review repair order invoices for retail service work performed.
Requirements
  • Demonstrate exceptional communication skills and build strong relationships with customers and colleagues.
  • Display confidence in self, the product, and CarMax.
  • Ability to balance customer needs with business requirements.
  • Seek to fully understand and meet customer needs.
  • Perform multiple duties in a high-energy, fast-paced working environment.
  • Read, interpret, and transcribe data to maintain accurate records.
