Job Description

Matrix Design Group, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Regional Director Water Resources to lead our water resources team. As an employee-owned company, we value diversity, respect, and excellence in all aspects of our business.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in water resources engineering, with a minimum of 15 years of experience. They will be responsible for managing and executing water resource-related projects, including planning, design, construction, and permitting. The candidate will also be responsible for preparing proposals, developing project execution plans, and overseeing the work of technical staff.

The Regional Director Water Resources will work closely with local, regional, and state-level clients to assist them in achieving their goals. They will be responsible for determining program objectives and requirements, preparing technical memoranda, design plans and specifications, and technical reports. The candidate will also be responsible for building upon our existing water resources client base through routine contact and networking.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as a department leader in a group environment. They will also have a strong understanding of local, regional, state, and federal policies, programs, and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and execute water resource-related projects
  • Prepare proposals and develop project execution plans
  • Oversee the work of technical staff
  • Work closely with clients to achieve their goals
  • Build upon our existing water resources client base

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in water resources engineering
  • Colorado Professional Engineering (PE) licensure or ability to obtain CO PE within 6 months
  • Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM) desired
  • Strong industry relationships and understanding of municipal, state, and federal criteria
  • Significant experience and understanding of local, regional, state, and federal policies, programs, and procedures
