Position: Senior Warehouse Technician

Qualifications Required:
High School Diploma or GED,
3+ years of relevant experience.

Overview:
A Senior Warehouse Technician is required for a leading industrial fabrication organization.

This role reports directly to the Warehouse Manager and is tasked with managing and facilitating the flow of materials, components, assemblies, and finished goods in alignment with production and shipping timelines, as well as supervisory directives.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Receive and organize materials within a warehouse or storage area.
Utilize the

manufacturing system to monitor all transactions.
Generate documentation from Material Request Forms (MRFs) for materials.
Receive and finalize documentation once materials are acquired.
Create documentation for equipment servicing.

Review production timelines and collaborate with supervisors to ascertain material needs and pinpoint overdue items.

- Identify materials, request necessary supplies, and establish delivery priorities based on job order urgency and expected material availability.

Label all received materials according to the appropriate month of receipt with all necessary identification markings.

Coordinate the internal transfer of materials and finished goods to align with production and delivery timelines, including transportation to internal departments and external locations.

Inspect materials delivered to the production team to ensure compliance with specifications. - Oversee and manage the movement of materials, components, and finished goods. - Maintain logs of consumables, tools, and materials issued to shop personnel. - Assign and route materials to designated storage areas. - Act as a communication link between the purchasing department and the production team.
Track consumables, metals, and tooling. - Complete material requisition forms. - Source and obtain vendor quotes for material and tool replacement parts and repairs. - Prepare finished products and components for shipping to external locations. - Organize freight shipments. - Prepare shipping documentation and create DD-1149 forms.

- Document shipment details, including weight, costs, space availability, damages, or discrepancies for reporting and record-keeping purposes.

- Manage the shipping and receiving of materials. - Verify materials against receiving documents, noting and reporting any discrepancies or damages. - Maintain electronic files, records, and packing lists; reconcile outstanding orders. - Operate company-owned vehicles, forklifts, and other equipment as necessary.

This position is versatile, with responsibilities that may extend beyond the warehouse, requiring flexibility to support various areas.

High School Diploma or GED is required.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience operating a forklift.
Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Salary Information:
The expected hourly rate for this position is approximately $29.90. This is not a guarantee of compensation, as salary will be determined based on experience, geographic location, and potentially contractual obligations, which may vary outside of this range.
