Job Description

Job Title: Quality Control Assistant Supervisor (Pre-Pour)

Job Type: Full-time

Location: ATMI Precast - Aurora, IL

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Control Assistant Supervisor (Pre-Pour) to oversee the Pre-Pour Quality Control process, ensuring all products meet our high-quality standards.

Responsibilities:

Assist the QC Asst Manager in overseeing the Pre-Pour Quality Control process, including curing system processes, daily moisture content readings, sample requests, and auditing concrete quality out of assigned batch plants.

Conduct inspections of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products to ensure compliance with established quality standards.

Document and report any non-conformances to the Quality Control Asst Manager.

Assist in testing of mix designs, daily concrete reports, and data entry of gradations and absorptions.

Train and supervise Pre-Pour and Lab Inspectors, ensure adequate staffing, manage schedules, and provide assistance on daily tasks. Administer weekly safety tool box talks.

Conduct regular steel shop audits and pre-pour audits. Audit concrete quality on assigned batch plants.

Collaborate with Engineering for all revision requests.

All other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent

Minimum of 5 years of precast experience

Able to obtain ACI PCI Level I and II within 6 months of start

Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects

At least one year of previous supervisory experience

Ability to communicate well in both English and Spanish

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Knowledge of quality control procedures and policies

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
