Quality Control Assistant Supervisor

Location: ATMI Precast - Aurora, IL
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Control Assistant Supervisor to join our team at ATMI Precast. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all products meet our high-quality standards and for completing all tasks assigned by the Assistant QC Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the QC Assistant Manager in overseeing the Pre-Pour Quality Control process, including curing system processes, daily moisture content readings, and auditing concrete quality out of assigned batch plants.
- Conduct inspections of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products to ensure compliance with established quality standards.
- Document and report any non-conformances to the Quality Control Assistant Manager.
- Assist in testing of mix designs, daily concrete reports, and data entry of gradations and absorptions.
- Train and supervise Pre-Pour and Lab Inspectors, ensure adequate staffing, manage schedules, and provide assistance on daily tasks.
- Administer weekly safety tool box talks.
- Conduct regular steel shop audits and pre-pour audits.
- Collaborate with Engineering for all revision requests.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years of precast experience.
- Able to obtain ACI PCI Level I and II within 6 months of start.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects.
- At least one year of previous supervisory experience.
- Ability to communicate well in both English and Spanish.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of quality control procedures and policies.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
