Position Title: Activities Barn Supervisor
Company Overview:
Wasatch Peaks Ranch is in the process of creating a premier mountain resort community nestled in the Wasatch Mountains, just a short drive from Salt Lake City. This expansive development spans 12,000 acres, featuring 3,000 acres of exclusive ski terrain, a private golf course designed by Tom Fazio, and a collection of 460 private residences being constructed over a multi-phase timeline of 10 to 15 years. This significant investment aims to provide an unparalleled experience in skiing, golfing, and various amenities within a private club atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities:
The Activities Barn Supervisor will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing engaging activities that enhance the overall experience for members and their families. This role involves designing and implementing programs and events tailored for members, guests, and their children. Collaboration with various departments, including Village Services, Outdoor Adventures, Membership, Events, and Food and Beverage, is essential to deliver innovative and enjoyable events. The supervisor will also play a crucial role in the successful launch of the new Activities Barn Facility, including the development of standard operating procedures and procurement of necessary supplies. Once operational, the supervisor will ensure the facility is well-stocked and ready for daily use by members and guests, while continuously expanding programming to adapt to evolving member interests.
Essential Duties:
- Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate the activities barn staff.
- Plan and oversee activities, ensuring a high-quality experience.
- Collaborate with the Director of Village Services to enhance and implement activity programming.
- Work with the communications team to develop an engaging Activities Barn calendar.
- Identify and engage experts to lead special events and activities.
- Design and utilize designated spaces for youth activities.
- Prepare weekly activity reports and participate in budget development.
- Compile written and oral reports on program activities and effectiveness.
- Monitor financial reports related to the program and recommend strategies to meet budget goals.
- Lead diverse activities aimed at enriching the experience of participants.
- Deliver exceptional service to all members and staff.
- Manage payroll edits for staff.
- Create and distribute communications for children's programming.
- Ensure promotional materials are up-to-date.
- Collaborate with other departments to promote youth programs.
- Attend staff meetings and perform additional tasks as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in teaching or managing children's programs is preferred.
- Strong background in developing and managing activity programs.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to build effective relationships with members, children, guests, and staff.
- Ability to respond effectively in emergency situations.
- CPR certification is required.
- Experience in site development and club programming is advantageous.
- Familiarity with Member Services or Kids Club operations in a private club setting.
Licenses and Requirements:
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Must possess a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a background check is mandatory.
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent walking and standing are required.
- Ability to lift, pull, bend, and perform repetitive actions.
- Must be able to project voice and engage with children effectively.
- Occasional outdoor work in varying weather conditions may be necessary.
Classification: Full-Time/Year-Round/Exempt
Education/Experience:
A degree in Early Childhood Development, Education, Sociology, Hospitality Management, Art, Physical Education, Exercise Science, or Psychology is preferred.
