Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Sovah Health - Martinsville. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse, adhering to established standards of practice.
  • Contribute to patient assessment by collecting and analyzing data, working closely with RNs to develop effective care plans.
  • Perform various interventions, including specimen collection and wound care, while documenting patient care and progress.
  • Coordinate patient care, incorporating their needs and preferences into treatment plans.
  • Assist patients with daily living activities, such as personal hygiene, nutrition, and ambulation.
  • Monitor and communicate patient status and reactions to interventions with RNs, physicians, and families.
Requirements
  • Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse from the Virginia State Board of Nursing.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, utilizing critical thinking and decisive judgment.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills to present information and ideas related to nursing theory and practice.
  • Capacity to accept responsibility and accountability for delegated aspects of the nursing process.
