Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Esthetics Instructor to join our team at Blue Cliff College. As an Esthetics Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching students the theory and practice of esthetics, including the use of cosmetic preparations, body treatments, and other skincare techniques.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement curriculum for esthetics courses, ensuring alignment with industry standards and college requirements.
  • Deliver lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on training to students, utilizing a variety of teaching methods and techniques.
  • Evaluate student progress, provide feedback, and assess student understanding of course material.
  • Assist students with lesson assignments, respond to questions, and facilitate study groups as needed.
  • Enforce classroom protocols, maintain a safe and respectful learning environment, and ensure compliance with college policies and procedures.
  • Participate in faculty meetings, professional development workshops, and other college events as required.
Requirements
  • Cosmetology/Esthetician licensure through the applicable state board is required.
  • Cosmetology/Esthetician Instructor's License is also required.
  • At least three years of experience as a licensed cosmetologist/esthetician, with a strong understanding of industry practices and standards.
  • Some level of teaching or training experience is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of educational measurement and assessment techniques.
  • Ability to develop and implement curriculum, as well as evaluate student progress.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to articulate policies, procedures, and expectations.
  • Ability to work effectively with students, peers, and community, with a strong commitment to professional integrity and discretion.
