As an FAO Intern, you will assist in the finance and accounting operations for small to medium-sized enterprises across diverse sectors. Interns will engage directly with clients to support various finance and accounting tasks, particularly in areas such as accounts payable, invoicing, month-end closing, and financial reporting. Additionally, FAO Interns will aid client management in reviewing and analyzing periodic financial statements to comprehend and clarify fluctuations in their business performance. This role will provide you with a profound understanding of our clients' industries and the operational dynamics of finance and accounting within their organizations. Furthermore, FAO Interns will participate in and support the implementation of FAO technologies for ERP systems, accounts payable, time and expense management, and month-end closing processes.

Key Responsibilities:
This position is hands-on and necessitates extensive communication and coordination among various stakeholders. Responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable operations
  • Conducting month-end reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts
  • Performing Profit and Loss reviews over client operations
  • Assisting in FAO technology implementations by documenting future processes and aiding in system configuration
  • Offering recommendations for enhancing client and RSM operations
Qualifications:
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in accounting and/or finance
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are essential
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities concurrently along with strong analytical and decision-making capabilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Adaptability to change is crucial
  • Experience with automated accounting systems is preferred
