ASM Global, a leader in the management of public assembly venues, is seeking a dedicated Banquet Server to join our team at a premier convention and entertainment center.
Our servers are expected to be attentive to guests' needs, making them feel welcome, comfortable, and valued.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
As a Banquet Server, you will be responsible for the proper setup and execution of banquet events.
Your setup duties will include arranging tables and chairs, inspecting linens, silverware, and china before use.
It is essential to maintain a high level of professionalism and keep all equipment and facilities organized, clean, and safe. Review Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) at the start of each shift to ensure rooms are set according to specifications.
Communicate effectively with the lead catering staff regarding any special requirements. Assist in ensuring events run on schedule and relay necessary information to the next staff member on duty. Uphold high standards of safety and cleanliness throughout all areas. Address any guest concerns or issues with the Food & Beverage Manager. Provide an exceptional dining experience by delivering items, fulfilling customer requests, clearing courses, replenishing utensils, and refilling beverages. Serve both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks at guests' tables, including proper wine service. Perform basic cleaning tasks as directed by a supervisor. Greet all guests warmly with an appropriate welcome. Consistently adhere to grooming and appearance standards. Understand and communicate the products and services available at the venue.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Applicants must be at least 18 years old. A high school diploma or GED is required, along with a current ServeSafe certification. A minimum of two years of experience as a server is preferred.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Ability to produce high-quality service in a fast-paced environment. A positive attitude and customer service orientation are essential. Strong knowledge of sanitary practices is required. Maintain proper grooming and dress code standards. Demonstrate a good work ethic and the ability to collaborate with other staff members. Capability to manage and complete multiple tasks efficiently. Attention to detail is crucial.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical demands outlined here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this role.
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to move throughout the facility, stand for extended periods during events, and communicate effectively.
This role may involve working indoors or outdoors as required by events. The position may expose the employee to loud sounds during certain events. Physical tasks include stooping and lifting, with the ability to lift up to 25 lbs. to waist height.
