Job Title: Distribution Supervisor

Job Summary:

The Distribution Supervisor will be responsible for leading a team of partners in a dynamic manufacturing environment. This role will focus on planning, organizing, training, and coaching to ensure efficient operations and compliance with various customers, company, and government requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Train and coach partners on Process Excellence principles and ensure daily production/shipping/receiving is organized to maximize efficiencies.
  • Work with the team to administer various company, plant, or department processes, including certification programs, pay systems, and assessment/feedback processes.
  • Ensure compliance with Food Safety and Food Quality Plans, as well as customer requirements, and communicate customer needs to the DC team.
  • Lead team efforts in meeting or exceeding goals in productivity, quality, and safety, and identify and implement process improvements.
  • Plan production operations, establish priorities, and monitor progress to meet customer needs, and resolve operational, manufacturing, and mechanical/maintenance opportunities to maximize efficiencies.
  • Monitor training activities and ensure proper training paperwork is completed, and assist with staffing to ensure decisions relating to the shipping/receiving schedule meet customer requirements.
  • Be knowledgeable of various government regulations, including OSHA, USDA, FDA, EPA, EEOC, OFCCP, and make decisions related to HACCP, product quality, HOLD & RELEASE, and assist with regulatory, customer, and internal audits.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or GED required; 5+ years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Proficient PC skills in Microsoft Excel and Word, and ability to manage multiple priorities, work the 12-hour night shift, and relocate.
