We are seeking a Certified Peer Recovery Support Specialist to join our team at Grand Lake Mental Health Center. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mental health recovery and a passion for empowering individuals to achieve their goals.
Key Responsibilities- Teach and mentor individuals in the value of recovery and effective coping techniques
- Assist service recipients in articulating personal goals for recovery and developing a WRAP Wellness Recovery Action Plan
- Support consumers in using problem-solving techniques and identifying and combating negative self-talk and fears
- Facilitate wellness activities, groups, and individual sessions to promote healthy living
- Develop and share recovery-oriented material with other CPRSSs
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must be in recovery from a behavioral health and/or substance abuse disorder or nicotine recovery
- One year of experience and participation in local or national consumer advocacy or knowledge in mental health recovery, preferred
