Job Title: Substance Abuse Counselor

LSS Fahrman Center is seeking a qualified Substance Abuse Counselor to join our residential treatment team. Our 42-bed adult facility provides evidence-based and client-driven therapies for men and women struggling with addiction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide addiction counseling and case management services to clients in an outpatient, residential, or case management setting.
  • Complete assessments, diagnostics, and referrals, and obtain required supervision as needed.
  • Provide Employment Specialist services to clients as needed.
  • Prepare and complete all required documentation according to state, federal, and agency standards.
  • Coordinate and facilitate client sessions, including group and individual services.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, staff, and external partners.

Requirements:
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience working with a correctional population
  • Working knowledge of addictions and recovery, counseling, and case management principles and methods
  • Possession of a valid SAC-IT SUD license from WI DSPS
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
