Substance Abuse Counselor

Lutheran Social Services (LSS) is a leading provider of human services in Wisconsin and Upper Michigan. We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Substance Abuse Counselor to join our residential treatment team at LSS Fahrman Center.
Key Responsibilities- Provide addiction counseling services to clients in a residential setting, utilizing evidence-based therapies and client-driven approaches.
- Conduct assessments, diagnostics, and screenings to identify client needs and develop effective treatment plans.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and support for clients.
- Prepare and maintain accurate documentation, adhering to state and federal regulations.
- Facilitate group and individual sessions, promoting client engagement and progress.
- Master's degree in a related field, such as counseling or social work.
- Valid SAC-IT SUD license from the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services.
- Minimum 1 year of experience working with addiction populations, preferably in a residential setting.
- Strong knowledge of addictions and recovery principles, as well as counseling and case management methods.
