REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
This position requires expertise in CNC programming and engineering assistance.

  • Proficiency with MASTERCAM software is preferred.
  • U.S. Citizenship is mandatory.
  • Capability to obtain security clearance if necessary.
  • High school diploma or GED is essential.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in a STEM field is advantageous but not obligatory.
  • At least 6 years of experience, or a combination of training and experience in programming, setting up, operating CNC equipment, and troubleshooting complex multi-axis fabrication tasks on various CNC machines with different controller configurations.
  • Prior experience in generating CNC programs using MasterCam and Pro-E (Creo) or similar CAD/CAM software.
  • Two years of experience working with quality systems and processes.

JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for qualified candidates for our Indianapolis site. The selected individual will provide a range of engineering support within a machining environment.

Key Responsibilities:
The following tasks represent a sample of the responsibilities expected from a Technical Support Engineer II. The absence of specific duties does not exclude them from the role if they are comparable or logically associated.

The responsibilities include:


  • Developing and adjusting CNC programming for various production machinery.
  • Conducting set-ups and validating programs on different CNC Mills, Wire EDM Machines, and lathes.
  • Ability to read, interpret GD&T, and analyze engineering drawings, CAD files, production planning documents, technical documents, and manuals.
  • Formulating or reviewing machining process plans for necessary task steps and associated labor hour content. Implement controlled changes to work plans, assignments, or methods as needed to effectively accomplish tasks.
  • Evaluating documents, drawings, preliminary layouts, sketches, and notes to determine processes for fabricating prototype and production assemblies.
  • Supporting the manufacturing floor by ensuring timely resolution of technical issues.
  • Reviewing and developing labor estimates for machining and sheet metal fabrication.
  • Maintaining/modifying existing and implementing new statistical process controls.
  • Providing reviews of manufacturing capabilities and labor estimates.
  • Assisting or training Machine Shop personnel with the setup and operation of multi-axis CNC equipment.
  • Performing related tasks as required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Familiarity with SAP or similar Enterprise Resource Planning software is a plus.
  • Previous experience in generating CNC programs with MasterCam and Pro-E (Creo).
  • Experience with data repositories.
