We are seeking to recruit a Fire Sprinkler Service Apprentice for a full-time role. This position involves assisting service fitters and foremen with the installation, repair, and modification of fire sprinkler systems across diverse job sites. Given the critical nature of fire sprinkler systems, attention to detail and quality workmanship are paramount.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the repair, modification, and installation of fire sprinkler systems.
- Adhere to safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment.
- Follow established company and industry practices and methods.
- Participate in training and safety meetings to enhance safety knowledge and address related issues.
- Uphold organizational values through integrity in work.
- Valid driver's license with no restrictions.
- High School diploma or GED.
- Basic measurement skills.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and fire codes.
- Familiarity with operating various electrical and mechanical tools.
- Commitment to safety practices.
- Availability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.
- Proficient in maintaining accurate documentation.
- Effective communication skills.
- Problem-solving abilities and the capacity to prioritize tasks.
- Flexibility to collaborate with team members in various situations.
- One or more years of experience in fire sprinkler systems.
- Knowledge of NFPA 13 standards.
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification is a plus.
- Ability to remain on feet for extended periods.
- Capability to lift and carry over 50 pounds and work at heights.
- Stamina for repetitive tasks including lifting, reaching, and climbing.
- Proficient in hand and finger movements for tool operation.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions.
Compensation: $16 - $28
