Financial Transactions Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented Financial Transactions Specialist to join our team in Portland, Oregon. In this role, you will be responsible for managing financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, with a leading steel fabrication company.
Key Responsibilities:- Process incoming invoices and bills from vendors, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Verify invoices match purchase orders or contracts and resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare and process payment runs, including checks, ACH, and wires, within the required timeframe.
- Record all AP transactions in the company's accounting system.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any outstanding issues.
- Generate and send customer invoices based on sales agreements.
- Monitor customer accounts for overdue payments and follow up accordingly.
- Record incoming payments and allocate them accurately in the accounting system.
- Reconcile customer accounts and resolve payment discrepancies.
- Assist with monthly and year-end closing activities related to AP and AR.
- Communicate effectively with internal departments, customers, and vendors.
- Provide excellent customer service regarding payment inquiries.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Several years of experience in accounts payable and general accounting.
- Experience with QuickBooks Enterprise or similar accounting software.
- Familiarity with payroll procedures, accounts receivable, and custom project processes.
This is a full-time position with a regular Monday-to-Friday schedule from 7am-4pm. The pay rate is between $25-$27 per hour.
