We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Area Manager to lead a team of hourly workforce in our Plymouth, MI location.

This role is responsible for engaging team members during shifts to maintain the highest levels of safety, quality, attendance, and performance.

The successful candidate will also play a key role in maintaining customer expectations to ensure timely delivery of packages.

Our Operations workflow has three major components: First mile, Middle mile, and Last mile.

The Area Manager will be responsible for:

  • Supporting, mentoring, and motivating hourly workforce
  • Managing safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises
  • Collaborating with support teams to develop plans to meet business objectives
  • Lifting up to 49 pounds and frequently pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, and reaching
  • Standing/walking for up to 12 hours during shifts
  • Working in an environment with variable noise levels and temperatures
  • Continuously climbing and descending stairs (for sites with stairs)

We are open to hiring candidates to work out of our Plymouth, MI location. The ideal candidate will have:

  • 2+ years of employee and performance management experience
  • Bachelor's degree or 2+ years of Amazon experience
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
  • 1+ years of performance metrics, process improvement, or lean techniques experience
