The Delivery Associate is a key member of the American Freight Furniture team, responsible for ensuring the timely and safe delivery of merchandise to customer homes. This role requires attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Load and protect merchandise for delivery
  • Follow safety procedures to protect associates, customers, merchandise, and property
  • Operate material handling equipment and maintain it per process
  • Handle paperwork accurately and acquire signatures per process
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through professional attitude and communication
  • Participate in customer calls before delivery and during routes
  • Address and relay customer concerns to store management
  • Interact with sales teams for special instructions
  • Perform basic hookup for qualified home appliances
  • Deliver and assemble furniture, fitness equipment, and lawn & garden products
  • Assist with store tasks, including unloading trucks and loading customer vehicles
  • Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned

**Requirements:**

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous experience in customer service or logistics preferred
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
