Job Summary

The Health Information Analyst is a key member of the Health Information Management Department, responsible for maintaining patient medical records and ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and state/federal laws. This role requires a high level of attention to detail and organizational skills, with a focus on safeguarding protected health information.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and state/federal laws
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to resolve data discrepancies and ensure data integrity
  • Develop and implement processes to improve data management and quality
  • Provide training and support to staff on data management and HIPAA regulations
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in information management and healthcare preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
