Position Overview:
This role is designed for candidates located in the EST and CST time zones, offering a hybrid work arrangement with three days in the office. You will be responsible for performing comprehensive analysis and synthesis of diverse data sources to assess product performance, assortment strategy, and store clustering through a modular approach. Your ability to communicate effectively and influence stakeholders will be crucial in driving actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed analysis, generate insights, and provide recommendations for category management initiatives utilizing retailer POS and NielsenIQ, Circana (IRI) data sources.
- Exhibit strong analytical, presentation, and storytelling capabilities.
- Develop, maintain, and update weekly and monthly performance dashboards (including weekly POS and monthly category summaries).
- Collaborate in creating category presentations that integrate syndicated data and other relevant information to address business challenges.
- Work closely with CPG Category Management and Space Technology teams to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Stay informed about client KPIs, strategies, innovations, and other critical information.
- Utilize client relationships to comprehend key retailer deliverables, category strategies, and project timelines.
- Category Analyst/Manager Certification is a plus.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's Degree is required. Relevant work experience may substitute for educational qualifications. Category Management Certification is preferred.
Experience:
1 to 3 years of related experience is necessary.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Proficiency in Windows and related software applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, is essential. Experience with syndicated data is required. Ability to communicate relevant information clearly and concisely. Capable of identifying and leveraging pertinent data to diagnose situations and propose solutions. Proficient in conducting data mining using CPG mathematical concepts and tools.
