Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Accountant to join our team at Illes Foods. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for overseeing and auditing labor and overhead costs in our Ross ERP system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and investigate variances in labor and overhead costs to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Calculate pricing for new and existing products, including determining labor and overhead rates.
  • Provide meaningful reports to operations based on actual performance data from the Factory MES system.
  • Partner with operations and floor managers to optimize process flow, scrap, and production-related factors impacting pricing.
  • Assist in existing product price review and new pricing rollout.
  • Perform weekly random cycle count of inventory items to ensure accuracy of inventory balances.
  • Obtain and analyze data from Factory MES and provide reports to operations.
  • Analyze and update labor standard rates in the ERP system.
  • Prepare daily and monthly labor productivity reports.
  • Serve as backup for AR, AP, and payroll processing.
  • Perform month-end closing, post journal entries, and prepare GL reconciliations as needed.
Requirements
  • B.A. in accounting or finance from an accredited university.
  • 5 years of experience in accounting, with 2 years in cost accounting/manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and PC spreadsheet software.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
Physical Requirements

The ideal candidate will be able to sit for extended periods, use a keyboard and calculator, see, hear, read, learn, and speak. They will also be physically able to lift up to 30 pounds occasionally and wear personal protective equipment in production areas.
