We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Branch Manager to lead our Workers' Compensation Underwriting operations in Woodland Hills. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the underwriting of all workers' compensation accounts, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and driving business growth.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and monitor the profitability of the branch to achieve and exceed Line of Business goals.
- Oversee the underwriting of all workers' compensation accounts in the branch, adhering to guidelines established by Home Office.
- Accept or reject risks, evaluating their characteristics and pricing them within Company underwriting guidelines.
- Regulate the flow of business within the department, monitoring underwriting quality, desk management, and communication skills of staff.
- Appoint and terminate agents, monitoring their performance, including hit ratio, production, and profitability.
- Prepare data and reports to communicate information to all constituencies, including Home Office.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Economics, Management, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 5-7 years of related experience in Workers' Compensation Underwriting operations.
- Minimum 1-2 years of supervisory experience and/or training.
- Competitive salary range: $131,064.18 to $221,030.80.
- Generous benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision plans, 401K retirement plans, and company match.
- Bonus potential for all positions.
- Paid Time Off with an accrual rate of 5.23 hours per pay period (equal to 17 days per year).
- 10 paid holidays throughout the calendar year.
