Join our innovative team to design, develop, and launch cutting-edge sensing technologies. The Sensing Systems group integrates various sensor technologies, including MEMS, magnetic, and capacitive sensors, across a wide range of Apple products.
As part of our team, you will help bring devices to life, enabling them to interact with users and their surroundings in unprecedented ways. We are seeking a motivated individual with a strong background in analog design and board-level experience.
Role Description:
The Fingerprint Sensor team is responsible for developing sensors that play a crucial role in the security and convenience of Apple products. Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing sensors for fingerprint biometrics integration into Apple products.
- Conducting schematic capture and designing modules and flex circuits.
- Leading discussions on multi-functional integration and coexistence assessments.
- Validating module designs and features throughout the supply chain.
To excel in this role, you should possess a solid understanding of both analog and digital circuit design, as well as experience in flexible and rigid PCB design. Familiarity with signal integrity, power integrity evaluation, lab validation, and electrical failure analysis is essential.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have:
- Strong electrical engineering fundamentals with demonstrated experience in all phases of circuit design and development.
- Experience in circuit design and layout (Cadence experience is a plus).
- Proficiency with test equipment (oscilloscope, meters, etc.) and circuit simulation tools (SPICE).
- Ability to create engineering design, requirement, and specification documents.
- Proficiency in MATLAB and Python scripting.
- Experience with statistical analysis of production data (JMP, Tableau) is advantageous.
- Familiarity with FEA, simulation, and modeling tools (Comsol, ANSYS, Maxwell) is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Education:
BSc or MSc in Electrical Engineering or a related field is preferred.
