Electrical Engineer for Sensing Technologies

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our Sensing Systems team at Apple. As a key member of our team, you will design, develop, and launch next-generation Sensing Technologies for our products, including iPhones, iPads, and MacBooks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop sensors for fingerprint biometrics in Apple products, including schematic capture, module and flex design, and validation of the module design and feature at all nodes of the supply chain.
  • Collaborate with multi-functional teams to develop, characterize, validate, and integrate TouchID sensors into Apple products.
  • Design and develop analog and digital circuits, flexible and rigid PCBs, and signal integrity and power integrity evaluation.
  • Work with test equipment and circuit simulation tools, including oscilloscopes, meters, and SPICE.
  • Develop engineering design, requirement, and specification documents, and create engineering design documents.
  • Proficient in MATLAB and Python scripting tools, and experience with statistical analysis of production data is a plus.
Requirements
  • BSc or MSc in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Strong EE fundamentals, demonstrated experience in all phases of circuit design and development.
  • Circuit design and layout experience, with Cadence experience a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
