About the Role

Rise Against Hunger is seeking a highly motivated and organized Event Coordinator to join our team. As an Event Coordinator, you will play a critical role in facilitating our meal packing events, ensuring a smooth and successful experience for our volunteers and hosts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and manage event logistics, including equipment and material transportation
  • Facilitate volunteers through our meal packing experience, ensuring a positive and engaging experience
  • Represent Rise Against Hunger with hosting groups, utilizing your outgoing personality and public speaking skills to empower volunteers
  • Drive equipment and materials to and from events in a box truck (no CDL license required)
  • Utilize sound judgment in decision-making and problem resolution
  • Work independently with minimal direction, taking initiative to complete tasks
  • Secure new and potential partners, leveraging social media to communicate and drive event participation
Requirements
  • Age 21 years or older
  • Proficiency in Google/Microsoft office suite and other cloud-based software
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and willingness to drive a box truck
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50lbs
  • Compliance with DOT regulations and maintenance of DOT certification
  • Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and early mornings
  • Resourcefulness to work in different spaces and environments
